Our body has certain necessities like food, water, shelter, and clothing. While these are the basic requirements, one more requirement of the body is excretion. It keeps our bodies healthy and hygienic. The most important aspect of excretion is cleanliness. While we may think the cleanliness required for the process is common and followed by all, that is certainly not the case in many areas of this world. These people fail to follow the basic cleanliness requirements not because of unawareness but because of a lack of basic facilities. This is even more heart-wrenching when the victims are school-going children.
This is the plight of the children attending Uwani Rivers Public School in Nigeria, Africa. The school does not have enough funds to even build a washroom for the children. They have to defecate in the open. This is extremely dangerous as it can attract various diseases and health issues. Unfortunately, these children are devoid of the basic facilities one should have in order to have a healthy education and healthy life. It is extremely devastating to see the young minds of this world becoming victims of infrastructural decay, especially in schools where children are supposed to feel the most comfortable.
The right to education is considered to be a basic right available to all. But is the presence of schools enough for the protection of this right? It is extremely important that schools have a proper learning environment and a conducive atmosphere. This requirement is shattered into pieces when these unfortunate children cannot even defecate in proper hygiene conditions.
The children studying in the aforementioned school are extremely curious and have bright minds. Their teachers and the headmaster are extremely supportive are affectionate towards their children. But victims of the deterioration of infrastructure that results in the loss of opportunities for the betterment of the children are extremely sorrowful.

Helpers Foundation is an organisation with the intention to make the world a better place. We put in their sweat and blood to make this world a better place for us to live in. This foundation has taken up the pledge to serve the children of this school by building for them a school with appropriate infrastructure. we have even made a field visit to the school and have witnessed the difficulties of these children. But our aim will not be achieved if we do not receive enough funds for our project. Therefore, we urge you all to consider the future of these lovely children and make a contribution to our initiative.
