Think deep!! How do they cope- families that depend on their daily earnings for survival, families that rely on their meagre skills to feed their families, families that can only boost what they have at hand to provide for their basic needs, families that never earn enough to feed themselves not to talk of saving for the future, people that are afraid of contacting and being killed by Corona Virus in Nigeria and as well afraid of being tortured and murdered by hunger. What a world!!
Hunger yes hunger; a killer ready to take the life out when taken for granted, makes a sane man insane, makes people involved in activities with the knowledge of its outrageous penalty as defaulters. Hunger affects all aspects of people’s lives. Hunger is the core reason why the poor struggle.
Can anyone be healthy while hungry? No. The poor are faced with two sharpened swords ready to slash the necks of their bodies once not handled simultaneously.
Of course, preventive measures have been set to prevent the spread of the virus but what has been done to curtail hunger in Nigeria? Palliatives- which have less than 50 percent ability to help remedy the situation in Nigeria.
When those items are provided, it merely reaches those that they are meant for which makes me ask; Is it that the barber is unskilled or his barbing gadget blunt?

Every individual intends to obey so as to prevent the spread of the virus but never at the expense of risking their lives to hunger, so, if in the quest of finding the solution to this pandemic, the livelihood of the poor are considered in Nigeria, it will go a long way safeguarding lives until a concrete solution to the end of this earth-quaking virus is found.
